Poll: Do You Have Any Issues With Viewing or Loading My Site?

Edit Post
Going by some feedback, it seems to be mainly Internet Explorer (7.0 or lower) and Firefox with tons of extensions causing trouble.
It seems my site is best viewed with Google Chrome and Safari. I'm personally using Chrome, which in my opinion is the fastest and most user friendly browser, and I've never had any issues with it.
Either way, I'd appreciate if people who's having issues, or has had issues, took the time to fill in the poll I'm running. It's located right below "About the author" on the right sidebar. That would allow me to identify the culprits and give recommendations on what browsers this site is best viewed with.
Results
Here are the results from the poll.
Firefox: 18%
Google Chrome: 12%
Internet Explorer: 65%
The remaining 5% were split between Safari, Opera and Netscape Navigator. I think it's quite clear that it's mainly Internet Explorer causing issues.
Thanks to everyone that voted.

Using Chrome as well. At work I have some problems because we block all youtube and FB. Otherwise all seems good to me.
Using firefox and I am not having a problem
Works perfectly with Opera
Chrome 9.0.597.19 beta and no problem here
Looks great on chrome and on the iPhone as well.
No problems using Safari 5.0.3
Works fine with Opera, Firefox and Chrome for me.
Using FF (latest version) and Chrome without any problem!
I´m only using Explorer as a PWO before my gym sessions when I feel that I need that extra anger and rage!
Using I.E., takes about a minute to load and if you click on something during that time, it locks up for about 1-2 minutes.
i was having problems for months on my laptop and pc so i used my phone without any problems. As of now it seems to have cleared up.
Works fine with me on the newest safari and firefox.
Hey, it is quite slow on Chrome, at both my work and home computers (both on broadband).
No problem here;
Chrome.
Slow on the iPad.
No issues with either Firefox or Chrome. I don't use a lot of extensions for Firefox.
when my work computer had IE 6 on it, it would take a couple minutes to load, IE 8 or Firefox without extras loads very fast.
Works great with Chrome. Almost impossible to view with Explorer though. Firefox seems to be OK too.
I use Maxthon Browser 2.0. It's based on Internet Explorer (with all updates, version 8). Despite quite a fast connection (over 10Mbps) I have problems loading your page. I have to wait much longer and everything freezes.
Firefox as well without having noticed any issues.
None, I use latest Firefox with no extensions.
Your site loads slowly at times when I'm using IE. By the way you can go to www.browsershots.org to test how your site looks.
No problem. I use Chrome.
Chrome and Android display your website flawlessly.
Ok will Google Chrome or Firefox
Never had a problem, I'm using Chrome on a Mac.
Loading just fine using Firefox 4.0 Beta 7
The only problem I have with the site is that it is updated infrequently.
Safari, no problem
Just my two cents, but I think the problem is with the twitter widget. Once that module starts loading in internet explorer, the whole page stops loading until it is done. Also, if twitter is particularly slow the effect is even more pronounced. Google chrome doesn't seem to be affected by this, but internet explorer takes a huge hit.
Here is a solution to that problem you might want to look into: http://www.barneyb.com/barneyblog/2010/01/15/improving-the-jsonp-twitter-widget/
Chrome w/ broadband.
There is (and always has been) a delay (~8 seconds) upon initial load. I believe it is because of the amount of data you've got on the main page. Full posts with little plugins and images for all of em.
I dont think the issue is a specific browser problem, just that different browsers handle the loading/caching of the data better than others.
It would be better if you could truncate the posts to the first paragraph or have the first one or two full posts with older posts truncated (marksdailyapple is a good example). Not sure how much flexibility blogger gives with this stuff.
I use firefox - no problems on this end!
Using Chrome and somedays it loads instantly and somedays it does not load. Very weird patterns...
Firefox (MAC and Windows) / Latest versions / No problem whatsoever
Firefox with some extensions (Firebug, ABP): no problems
It has worked fine with Safari.
Chrome user here. The site looks perfectly fine but it is loading rather slow.
No problems when I view your site at home using Safari, but it definitely 'spazzes out' when I try to view it in the office using Microsoft Explorer.
Cheers,
Suleiman
Using Safari.
No problems whatsoever.
Just a tip to those using IE... You might want to think about switching browsers. Or at least trying out a different one. IE is the worst browser imo.
I'm using RockMelt (based on the code for Chrome) and haven't had any troubles with it all, even with all my plugins and extensions.
Takes an age to load using ie
Using IE. It always takes 10-15 seconds to load. I get bits of the page at a time.
Using IE8, pretty slow on the initial load every time.
Using IE 8, the page is very slow to load.
Firefox is somewhat slow.
People still think Chrome and FF are the best... but nothing touches Opera. Try it and you'll never go back.
Working flawlessly with Opera.
using safari and having no problems
Using Chrome on Win7. I have no problems.
The menu-list is a bit problematic on an Android Desire, but it works.
Though, I hope you get enough momentum in this to create a real site - not just a blog. Something akin to Lyles articles etc, but as long as you're not making any money directly from the site it may be hard to motivate.
Oh, and Martin. We need more cheesecake mastery soon, and how you handle the days following.
Would be greatly appreciated if you could inform us when you'll have something about that up on the site.
Nope, never. W7+FF.
I'm using Firefox and Leangains loads fine for me.
Mind you, I don't have a crazy list of add-ons to screw things up.
By the way Martin, I eagerly await the arrival of your new book.
When its released, I'll put a banner ad for it on my blog with Amazon Associates.
I'd advise other Leangains fans to do the same when it comes out.
with an old version of IE which is my corporate standard (guess it's v. 6 or 7) the drop down menu is poorly visible (the letters are not visible on the background color until you highlight an item - so one item is visible at a time). with opera, chrome and ff - everything's fine.
It's very slow in any browser. I can't even say that it has MANY external elements. It seems that the whole site is built with external elements only. It's not the way we (webmasters) make sites. Test your site with http://siteloadtest.com/ and then your competitors' sites.
If you want your site to be fast, you have to host your content on your own host and remove all unnecessary external plugins. Combine css files, combine javascript files, optimize images, and enable compression. That's all.
Takes a bit to load sometimes, but otherwise works fine. The graphic at the top of the page could be... smaller. Just a bit.
There's a new browser called RockMelt that has built in social networking, emails, and RSS feeds. It's pretty neat, runs similar to chrome. Your site works just fine on it as well.
Very slow in with explorer 8
A little slow with Firefox
I use Firefox with either Windows or Linux operating system (depending on which computer) and have not had problems with either.
Works great with Firefox. Loads really slow with IE.
very slow to load on my ipod touch. Safari
