The Official Leangains Facebook Page

Share

Ok, so since I've pretty much reached the 5000 friends limit on my Facebook profile, I've made a Leangains Facebook page. The activity on my regular profile has been pretty intense, with lots of discussions, success stories, meal photos, recipes, interesting links and new research, etc, and I'm hoping that will continue on the fan page from now on.

So if you're fiendin' for some good food porn, like this awesome high-protein banana cream pie someone just posted on my wall:

Hot damn that looks awesome. I'll tell him to post the recipe on the page.

Then you should definitely keep your eyes peeled on this page. If you're interested in discussions with the numerous active Leangains followers, we'll have that here as well. I'll be popping in when I get a chance to answer questions, but there's plenty of knowledgeable folks that can help you out. So just hit that there "like" button and hop on in.

The page might look a little bare bones right now, but I'll get it properly set up and going within the next few days. Didn't expect there to be a whole science to making it look right and functional (which I'm clearly hopeless at).

A fanpage was always when rather than if due. Congratulations, Martin, any advice in trying to get fitter for joining the Army? Interested on your thoughts regarding this.

Martin, I'm a new follower and having been on 18/6 for a week now I can say that I like it thus far. I'm currently in military training where physical training is mandatory and structured 5 days per week (M-W-F Run days and T-Thurs are more conditioning drills). I have 9 weeks of this schedule and want to do my own training (Squat, Deadlift, Chin-ups, etc. as you prefer). The problem I have is I do not have time to train the latter in the morning with the other physical training and have to do it in the late afternoon / evening around 5-6pm. The morning workouts are not very effective at all. How do I structure my meals around this and where would I supplement with Xtend?

A typical day is
6-7 am physical training
8-11 am classroom environment
11-12 pm lunch
12-5 pm classroom environment
5/6pm my time

I've put alot of time and effort into nutrition, working out my meals and macro ratios. I've even gone and had a RMR / Vo2 max test done just out of curiosity. I've dropped 70 lbs in the last year and I'm ready to pick things up a notch. I've done these exercises now for just a measly 2 weeks and I'm already seeing small improvements. Any info is greatly appreciated.

FB fan page is all well and good but Leangains would probably be better served with a proper website and a forum. Bring all the blog posts as articles, have a section for recipes, etc. You smell what I'm stepping in?

What's up with all the tribe stuff on the page? Can't you redo your page so it looks a bit more AWSOME... have your page as one of my starting pages, and everytime I open up my browser I just think of skanks swank tribals. But hey, that's just me! Keep up the good work anyway, I read your site because of the content.

Couldn't find the recipe anywhere, or the pic on your FB wall for that matter, where is it?

Hasn't Martin and his clients, as well as numerous of his blog readers already proven this:

Interesting nevertheless........

This is unrelated to facebook, but I'm rather surprised you haven't mentioned Serge Nubret yet. I seem to remember reading that he only ate one huge meal a day and that worked out very well for him.

I think it would be cool if there was any chance to host a IRC channel.
Would be nice if there was a place where you got to discuss with other LG/IG fans directly, other than the Facebook fanpage?
Anyone up for hosting a channel? :)
